My second game for that evening was my first game versus Schizo Boy Jacky and his Retribution of Scyrah.  What could be better for a first game than to play against a battle engine, right?

Jacky showed me some speed moves by using Lanyssa Ryssyll to cast Hunter's Mark on a target and have other friendly models charge it with additional movement.  Apparently it also allows allied warjacks and warbeasts to charge for free.  Sadly, Khador cannot hire Lanyssa.

Kell Bailoch and the Widowmakers sniped off a good number of his Dawnguard Sentinels on my left flank while Butcher2 advanced behind the fast-moving Gun Carriage.

Butcher2 was oddly placed though.  With a small gap between the Devastator and the Gun Carriage, Jacky sent up his Eiryss1 and took a shot at my warcaster but missed.  It's from that same gap that He had Garryth up and shoot Butcher2, too, getting some serious damage in.  He popped up Garryth's Vortex Lock online for good measure.

With his feat up, a high roll on Arcane Dementia did not matter.  I decided to move Butcher2 up behind the Gun Carriage and pop Feel The Hate.  Widowmakers, Eliminators and Fenris all racked me up a good count of Rage tokens in case my Plan A would fail - which involved the Devastator Bulldozing some Retribution models sideways so that the Great Bears can charge Garryth.  A pair of hard 8's later and very hefty damage rolls, Plan A worked.
