For some dumb reason, I forgot to pack my Behemoth in the box. So for these games, I used that Ironclad as a stand-in. |
For this match, I went up against Erickson Kwok and his Protectorate army led by Grand Scrutator Severius.

We played Steamroller 2012's Process of Elimination scenario with 50PC forces. On his own, Severius1 has no direct way of killing my warcaster with his bare hands so I went and identified what in his army can - two units of different flavored Exemplars, and his two heavy warjacks. Normally if I won the First Turn roll, I'd give it to my opponent so I can do proper counter-deployment (important when you have SPD4 models). This time, I tried going first just to mix it up a bit.
He had a long line of Exemplar Errants on his front with Defender's Ward and Eye of Menoth online. I figured I can try to break it with Winter Guard on Iron Flesh and Bob and Weave, supported by Iron Fang Uhlans on my left flank. When he sent Nicia to take cover on the low fence, For the Motherland Winter Guard sprays should be enough to take care of her. Fenris successfully gunned for the Zealot Monolith Bearer on my right flank.
When he decided to bring forward his warjacks, three focus on the Behemoth's main cortex and Superiority became my go-to solution for heavy warjack problems.
Expectedly, he was advancing Severius forward, probably hoping to tag Irusk with his feat. Given that he was already in range of the Khador guns, some fancy combined shooting from Winter Guard rockets and the Behemoth brought the Grand Scrutator down.
