| Lord Carver's Batten Down The Hatches force my hand to take drastic measures |
In a local WMH league, I got to square off against Kensei Yonzon and his Thornfall Alliance army led by Lord Carver, BMMD, Esq. III.
Those Protectorate Wracks were just objective markers.
This was where Butcher loaded up that grey (unpainted, boo!) Berseker with two focus during the Control Phase. Those Farrow warbeasts were under Carver's Batten Down The Hatches so I gambled with using Blood Frenzy early.
Butcher stepped up, casted Fury on the Berserker. Afterwards, Butcher used his feat and finished off with casting Full Throttle.
The Berserker charged for free due to its innate Aggressive, targeting the nearby Gun Boar. After the warjack's initial P+S 19 War Axes destroyed the Gun Boar, I bought two attacks with the focus and dropped Brine who was within melee range of it. I then rolled for Unstable, which resulted in the Berseker blowing up to smithereens, tagging Rorsch and a small unit of Farrow Brigands who were contesting the objective.
Splitting up his forces and holding up a solid left flank, Kensei tapped out since he would not have been able to keep up with me gunning for objectives and all avenues for getting to Butcher were blocked.
